The Automatic Cartridge Lubricators (also called “Single Point Lubricators”, “Grease Cans”) offer numerous advantages in industry. In addition to the above mentioned advantages, automatic cartridge lubricators are highly versatile. They can be used in a wide range of industries and applications, such as automotive or food, in process pumps, electric motors, conveyors, cooling towers, robots, fans, etc. These lubricators adapt to different temperature and pressure conditions, and since they can avoid under & overlubrication, they contribute to improving the equipment's performance and reducing maintenance costs.
Its use is recommended in cases where the following premises are met:
- Isolated greasing points, where the cost of implementing an automatic system is not justified
- Low lubrication demand
- Low level of criticality and/or lubrication demand
- Possibility of checking its status periodically by maintenance staff
- Special lubricants
- Non-demanding working conditions (absence of low temperatures, vibrations)
There are multiple models available, from spring-actuated, electrochemical (gas) or electromechanical, as well as with different types of control (PLC, Bluetooth, machine synchronized, vibration, etc.) and with different lubricant capacities between 60 cm3 and 500 cm3, and in all cases with a range between 1 and 12 months. After the adjustment period, in most cases the cartridges or battery must be replaced depending on the model.
